Depression Proven Not Linked to Serotonin
Mar 24, 2025
We've been told for most of our lives that being depressed is linked to a chemical imbalance in the brain. The primary line of anti-depressants, which are marketed as medications that can correct that imbalance, is a class of drugs known as SSRI's. SSRI stands for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
Obviously, there's lots of marketing revolving around the idea that serotonin is the internal metabolic chemical that needs balancing, in order to lift the depression of patients prescribed these SSRI's. Oddly enough, the discovery that serotonin isn't linked to depression, has been known for a very long time. That then begs the question: Why does this sort of marketing and urban myth continue in our society if the serotonin chemical imbalance theory of depression has already been proven false for over a decade?
If depression isn't a chemical imbalance linked to serotonin, what causes depression and what can help it or even remedy it completely? Those are only 2 of maybe 100 important questions we all need to start asking, in order to get to the answer, we all really need to know. What can get a human smiling again if they're depressed? How much of the truth are we being told about disease in general, let alone depression?
What is also odd is that there's lot of evidence that the more serotonin you push into a human's metabolic system, the more depressed they get. We also have the fact that a major listed side effect of all anti-depressants is increased depression and a potential increase in suicidal thoughts. If these drugs don't work and if they can make depression (and general health) worse, why are hundreds of millions of people taking these medications? Why have all the school shooters, except one, been taking these drugs? The one school shooter said to not be taking these drugs, was actually coming off the same medication. What's going on here? Why are these drugs directly linked to kids picking up guns and shooting other kids and teachers?
If you click here, you can read an article about my personal experience with depression and suicidal thoughts. Although my depression and suicidal thoughts lifted immediately when I changed my diet, that's nowhere near the entire story that needs to be explored, in regards to what causes depression and what can remedy it. I'm giving a live talk tomorrow March 25th at 6 PM EDT on the hidden causes and remedies for depression, which are purposely being kept from the public. I'm providing six small fee talks to the public this year and this talk on depression in one of them. I hope to see you there. You can register for the talk at the end of that same article. You can access that article by clicking here. If you have any questions please email me personally at [email protected].
